World Premiere, Origins Festival at Shakespeare’s Globe, London 2019
Where We Belong is a journey through time, unraveling notions of belonging in a globalized world. Madeline Sayet uses traditional storytelling, utilizing the knowledge of her ancestors who traveled to England to protect their people in the 1700s, and the potential future migration patterns of a post-globalized society, to ask what it means to be Native and an immigrant from moment to moment, century to century, millennium to millennium.
